The High Tea Mistress was curated in May 2017 as a need for our founder Emma to continue to work in the events industry after the birth of her son. Being a solo parent at the time typical event roles were no child or solo parent friendly, often having to work in the evenings on the weekends.

Having worked as a State Manager for another high tea business previously Emma began the concept of a Mobile High Tea experiences that serviced Melbourne & the Yarra Valley.

The last seven years has seen The High Tea Mistress branch out to service Victoria wide, a store in Hawthorn & Clunes, conduct thousands of deliveries throughout covid, curate High Tea experiences for nearly 400 people in a 24 hour period, appear on Better Homes & Gardens & indulge over 4000 guests a year.

Having teamed up with My Proposal Co in 2022 as their Victoria stylist we have also added marriage proposals & a lot more styling/hire back into our repertoire.

The High Tea Mistress has evolved & adapted over the years to suit Emma’s main priority, her son, and now her family. At this point in time we are running on a paired back scale from what we were for Emma to enjoy being there at school picks most days, keep her large garden under control & indulge in the simple pleasures of making memories.
